International Nurses Day – Thanking a Nurse for their hard work

International Nurses Day is a chance to celebrate nurses and their contribution to the health of society. The theme for this years’ Nurses week is; Nurses: A force for change – A vital resource for health.

International Nurses Day is celebrated across the globe every May 12 – the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birthday. The day provides an opportunity for all nurses to sit back and reflect on how much their work really matters to those around them including, patients, families, colleagues and peers.

It is also the perfect opportunity for everyone to thank nurses around the world for everything they do; from their dedication to their work, to showing compassion and care that all patients need.

HealthX would especially like to thank all our nurses at aged care facilities across Australia for their dedication and hard work.

We want to say thank you for coming to Australia and bringing your skills and dedicating yourself to our aged care system. One of our nurses has said “nursing is my skill, caring is my profession.” And, we believe this shines strong through all of our nurses across Australia.

So, the next time you see a nurse, be sure to thank them.
