The Australian Government’s Department of Social Services has sent out a reminder that they are seeking applications from interested organisations, both existing and new service providers to receive funding for the delivery of activities and services from 1 January 2015 for up to five years.
Funding is available for the following areas:
Ageing and Service Improvement Programme – This programme focuses on funding for activities that strengthen the capacity of the health and aged care sectors to deliver high quality care, and to promote healthy ageing. The following round is open for application:
1. Aged Care Service Improvement and Healthy Ageing Grants
Disabilities, Mental Health Carers Programme – This programme focusses on support and community -based initiatives for people with disability, mental illness, and carers so they can develop their capabilities and actively participate in community and economic life. The following rounds are open for application:
2. Sector Development for Disability Representative Organisations
3. Early intervention to support vulnerable families with children and young people who are showing early signs, of, or at risk of developing mental illness.
Families and Communities Programme – This programme aims to support families, improve children’s wellbeing and increase participation of vulnerable people in community life.

7. Financial Crisis and Material Aid Sector Support
8. Children and Parenting Support

Housing and Homelessness Programme – This programme focuses on support for housing and homelessness. The following round is open for application:
